SUMMARY OF INTERVIEW WITH CATHERINE GIRA
This is an interview with Dr. Catherine Gira, when she was the Chairperson of the English Department. It was conducted by John Nicholson, Library Director in the Baltimore Room of the University of Baltimore Library on May 10, 1979.
Dr. Catherine Gira talked about her time and experience at the University of Baltimore. She reviewed some of her memories of school accreditation process working with Mr. Pullen and the steering committee in the 60s. They had faced and solved many challenges during the preparation phase of the accreditation process. She also predicted that the school would move to an entirely new direction and suggested that the school had to focus more on quality growth.
