SUMMARY OF INTERVIEW WITH YALE GORDON
This is an interview with University of Baltimore Alumnus, Mr. Yale Gordon, School of Law, class of 1929 and School of Business, class 1933. It was conducted by Beatrice L. Madison, Graduate assistant 1982-83 on Tuesday, June 21, 1983, in the Baltimore Room of the University of Baltimore Langsdale Library.
A set of questions was formulated for this interview to which Mr. Gordon responded quite openly. He recounts his experiences from his first days in the University of Baltimore beginning in 1926 as a law student on up to his recognition by the University with its awarding him, on May 25, 1983, the honorary degree of Doctorate of Humane Letters. He, through his vivid memory, portrays a career-oriented university that has managed to flourish in spite of the obstacles confronting it over the years. Growing from a few hundred students in a converted residence to a multi facility complex servicing more than 5400 students, the University of Baltimore's development is revealed by one of its sons in the person of Yale Gordon. Truly committed to his alma mater during his school days and afterward, Mr. Gordon relates the story of a lifetime of service to the university.
