This is an interview with Kathleen Joyce, Registrar and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School 1946-1982, and Clifford C. James, Dean of School of Business, Industry and Management 1945-1969. It was conducted by Newsmagazine staffers Pat DiCarlo and Linda Walter in 1983.

Ms. Joyce reminisced about her memory of students and faculty during the years working at the University of Baltimore. She became an honorary "brother" in one of the social fraternities because of her involvement in and contribution to students' lives. She remembered many fun activities and social events on campus during the 50s and 60s. Ms. Joyce and Dean James reviewed some memories of the school during the wars, fraternities, sororities, and women students. They also shared some of their personal memories of undergraduate students. Ms. Joyce recalled the different types of students studying at UB during 40s, 60s, and 70s and how these differences have changed the identity of UB
